Grace Giuliano Supporting Women Through Meditation and Self Discovery

Grace Giuliano Supporting Women Through Meditation and Self Discovery

Tucked away in the Blue Mountains of NSW, Grace Giuliano has created a sanctuary where women can pause, exhale and remember themselves. Her work in meditation and sound healing did not arise from a lifelong spiritual plan. It began in a very human way, through exhaustion, hormonal changes and a deep sense that the life she was living no longer fit.

“What followed was a gradual turning inward,” Grace shares. “A simple decision to try meditation, a willingness to sit with my breath and my heart, and over time a soft but steady return to myself.”

Now, through A State of Grace Wellbeing, Grace holds spaces where other women can experience that same gentle reconnection.

A Turning Point That Became a Calling

Meditation was not always part of Grace’s life.

“For most of my life, I was more likely to be busy doing than sitting still,” she reflects. “Around the time I turned 50, a challenging situation arose and I was in the depths of perimenopause. My hormones were all over the place, my emotions felt raw and unpredictable, and there were days I truly wondered if I was going crazy.”

She describes reaching a point where she just was not coping. “The job I had once loved began to feel impossible. Eventually, I made the difficult decision to leave, knowing deep down that something had to change.”

Not long after, she went for a walk on the beach. The ocean has always been a place of solace for her. “As I stood there watching the waves roll in, a quiet thought rose up inside me. Maybe it is time to try meditation. It was not a grand plan, just a gentle nudge from somewhere deep within. But that moment changed everything.”

Within six months of beginning a simple daily meditation practice, Grace noticed a profound shift. “I started to feel calmer, clearer and more like myself again. I could meet life’s ups and downs with a little more grace.”

That experience planted a seed. “If meditation could bring this much healing and steadiness to my life, perhaps I could help others discover the same.”

Studying with ACMM and Becoming a Meditation Teacher

This insight led Grace to the Australian Centre for Meditation and Mindfulness (ACMM) and their meditation teacher training.

“Their heart centred approach, blending self awareness, compassion and authenticity, felt like home,” she says. “It was not just about learning techniques. It was about growing as a person and reconnecting with what truly matters.”

Grace completed the Advanced Certificate in Guiding and Teaching Meditation and Mindfulness with three electives, supported by her mentor Helen. She is also a member of the ACMM Business Lounge.

“Personally, my studies with ACMM have helped me cultivate a deep sense of calm and resilience,” she explains. “Professionally, they have given me the confidence and skills to hold safe, supportive spaces for others.”

Her favourite parts of the meditation teacher training were the mentoring, electives and retreats. “Having experienced teachers to guide me and gently challenge me to grow has been invaluable. The electives let me follow my curiosity and the retreats were truly transformative. They reminded me why mindfulness matters.”

Creating A State of Grace Wellbeing

Today, Grace shares meditation and mindfulness through her own business, A State of Grace Wellbeing, based at Grace Sanctuary, a peaceful studio space in the Blue Mountains.

“It is a place where women can slow down, reconnect and experience the healing power of presence,” she says. “My offerings have grown from my own lived experience, a blend of guided meditation, mindfulness practices and crystal sound therapy designed to nurture both emotional and physical wellbeing.”

Her offerings include:

  • Calm Beginnings Foundations of Mindfulness – A three week series of one hour classes.
  • Mindful Mornings for Women’s Wellbeing – for women looking to start their day grounded, calm and centred.
  • Soulful Day – An immersive day experience with welcome tea, intention setting, foot soak, journaling, a garden walk and guided meditation with crystal singing bowls.
  • Seasonal Sound Healing Journeys – For anyone seeking a deeply restorative, heart centred experience to celebrate the season and reconnect with their inner rhythm.

She also offers energetic clearing and sound healing in homes and workplaces. “These sessions help create environments that feel balanced, calm and aligned with the people who inhabit them.”

The Heart of Her Meditation Teaching

Grace feels particularly called to support women in times of transition.

“I feel called to support women who are going through times of transition, particularly those in midlife,” she says. “I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your body, emotions and identity are shifting all at once. Through meditation, mindfulness and sound healing, I want to create spaces where women can slow down, breathe deeply and begin to feel at home within themselves again.”

She has discovered that one of her most powerful tools is surprisingly simple. “One of the most beautiful surprises in my teaching journey has been how soothing my voice can be for others,” she shares. “It is amazing to witness the calm it can bring, even before the meditation begins.”

Award Winner

Grace’s dedication to women’s wellbeing has also been acknowledged in her local community. She was featured in Women with Altitude’s Brave Magazine, a platform that celebrates women who are making a meaningful impact through their work and leadership. Grace shares that this recognition felt deeply affirming. “It reminded me that when we follow our intuition and serve from the heart, others feel it,” she says. “It encouraged me to keep showing up for the women who walk through my door. “Grace’s business has been shaped by community and collaboration just as much as by her meditation teacher training.

Community, Collaboration and Marketing from the Heart

“I have been fortunate to collaborate with a range of wellness practitioners and local organisations in the Blue Mountains,” she says. “Earlier this year, I led a sound healing session at a retreat which was deeply rewarding. Looking ahead, I am planning a collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris in Leura, contributing to their refugee program. It feels meaningful to share mindfulness and meditation with a broader community.”

Her marketing approach is varied and grounded in connection. “I use social media, email newsletters, word of mouth, flyers, local community groups and noticeboards, as well as blogs and my podcast,” she explains. “I enjoy balancing a personal, heartfelt style with visually creative content so that people feel connected and inspired.”

Two forms of support have been particularly important for her business growth. “Being part of a business networking group, Women With Altitude, has been invaluable. And having a business mentor has helped me clarify my goals and refine my offerings. These experiences have taught me that success is not just about strategy, it is about connection, collaboration and support.”

A Vision for Women’s Wellbeing

At the core of everything Grace offers is a simple wish.

“My hope is that, just as I found peace sitting quietly with my breath, other women might discover that same gentle strength within their own hearts,” she says. “I want them to remember that healing often begins in stillness and that they can feel at home within themselves again.”
