Hi Bec! Tell us a little bit about yourself

I’m Bec, I am Special Education teacher, a mother and Meditation and Mindfulness teacher. I have always had a passion for health and wellbeing, the environment and being creative. I live on Waddawurrung Country (Geelong) which is 70km away from Naarm (Melbourne).

What attracted you to the Diploma program?

I had just finished my Advanced Certificate and bravely started running some session online and in person. Soon felt like I needed a little bit more guidance. I felt I needed someone to be in my corner, like a guide who was able to support me through the journey. I was drawn to the fact it was online as I was able to look after my daughter and still do the course.

Can you tell us why you enrolled in the Diploma course and how this program has impacted you professionally?

Honestly, I just feel so much more confident in trusting myself because I’ve had such a wonderful rich learning experience with ACMM over the last few years. The Diploma course has helped with the delivery of my sessions and has helped me to be brave in trying out different techniques and trusting that I am making a difference in people’s lives. Last week, I had a client tell me she wanted to give me a clap at the end of session because she thought I was doing so well!!

What is one thing that you loved about the Diploma experience so far?

I love hearing the insights from other meditation teachers. When we come together, it’s such a supportive circle where we want everyone to have success in their meditation business and in their practice. Lisa is a gift to the meditation world, as she has so much knowledge, kindness and compassion.

Do you have your own meditation/mindfulness/holistic business, plans to start one?

I have a business up and running called Bec Cramp. I run a meditation and journaling group every Monday night where we delve into different techniques to support a deep connection with self. My latest offering is a Mindful play session with little ones between the age of 6 months to 3 years where we explore mindfulness through sensory play outside in nature. It’s truly a dream to come true!

The mindful play sessions bundle up meditation and mindfulness into a fun, explorative and nourishing class that is suited to our little humans and their carers/parent/guardian. It is a moment for parents to be in the present moment with their child, in nature while being with like-minded people.

There is no doubt, caring for a child changes you.  I became determined to create a calm, peaceful environment for my daughter to thrive. I wanted to model to her that meditation and mindfulness are tools that you turn to whenever you feel disconnected, anxious, or stressed and that they can help you regulate your nervous system. So I went on an explorative journey to immerse my child into the world of meditation and that’s how this program was developed.

The feedback has overwhelming positive. Parents are so grateful that these sessions are available to them because this is what they’ve wanted for their child but it never existed.
